Each new marriage reflects the pain, the fear, the hellish conflicts and the experience of women who are already married.

Polygamy is the scourge that strikes society and makes co-wives fierce rivals ready to do anything to keep their place.

The concept of patience is the word that accompanies the woman from her birth until her death.

It is the only remedy offered to the woman who is the victim of physical violence.

Le sujet de notre recherche porte sur la condition de la femme camerounaise dans Les Impatientes de Djaïli Amadou Amal.

C'est un roman passionnant faisant la lumière sur le quotidien de la femme et sur ce qu'elle souffre dans une société où elle se laisse dominer par une autorité patriarcale et où elle n'a pas le droit de refuser ce qui pourrait lui nuire.

A travers ce roman, l'écrivaine parvient à mettre en scène trois héroïnes qui, contrairement à leurs mères, refusent leur condition de pauvreté, d'insulte et de dépendance.

Le mariage, sous ses différents aspects, forme le noyau autour duquel s'organisent tous les évènements du roman.

Chaque nouveau mariage reflète la souffrance, la peur, les conflits infernaux et l'expérience des femmes déjà mariées.

La polygamie est le fléau qui frappe la société et qui fait des coépouses des rivales acharnées prêtes à faire n'importe quoi pour garder leur place.

Le concept de patience est le mot qui accompagne la femme dès sa naissance jusqu'à sa mort.

Il est le seul remède que l'on propose à la femme victime de la violence physique.
