الملخص EN

The geochemistry of the sandstones Sahabi Formation will be discussed about the provenance, paleo-climate condition, depositional environment and tectonic setting.

The studied sandstones are mainly classified as sublitharenite and quartz arenite.

The negative correlation of SiO2 with most major oxides is due to most of the silica being sequestered in quartz.

The K2O/Na2O ratio indicate that the studied samples are typically mature sediments were deposited in suboxic conductions.

Al2O3/TiO2 ratio suggest that felsic and mafic rocks must be the probable source rocks for the sediment of the sandstones Sahabi Formation.
