This study attempts to investigate the impact of Algerian YouTube videos on Algerian youth's social and political awareness.

A Content Analysis of selected videos from “Youcef Zarouta” and football music group “Ouled El Bahdja” YouTube channels have been used to explore the themes of videos viewed by Algerian youth and the emotions that can be triggered.

Findings demonstrated that the selected videos which tackled social and political topics reflect on Algerian youth's social and political experiences, voice their views and contribute to raising their awareness.
