الملخص EN

Error correction is a main part of EFL classroom activity that rarely interests the learners particularly at tertiary level.

when learners are given back their sheets of papers tests or exams they are interested in the mark earned not the errors occurred.

this study employed cooperative learning method for helping EFL learners to correct their writing errors, and particularly to encourage them to learn from each other.

two groups in an Algerian university were involved in this study.

the first one used traditional approach to deal with error correction while the other class employed the cooperative learning method as a group work in order to correct their writing errors.
