The current research aims to shed light on the role of art education activities in the development of visual popular culture among young people to be inspired by the values of identity and belonging, as well as to reveal the basic elements in the structure of folk arts associated with the expressive and semantic aspect, as well as a return to ancient cultural origins, reviving it and drawing inspiration from some of its vocabulary that carrying meanings of authentic qualities in our lives that establish the values of cultural identity and belonging, as well as enriching folklore through intellectual and cultural documentation, preserving and advertising it, by shedding light on the works of some populist artists, based on the inspiration of heritage and heritage, and the expression of visual popular culture associated with the cultures of different societies, studying and analyzing them, and standing on some of their features and characteristics that are linked to intellectual and aesthetic values that express historical nobility, as intellectual references that contribute to building knowledge formation and value perception for young people, the current research relied on the analytical descriptive approach to review the most important literature related to the subject of the study, as well as describing phenomena, collecting information, facts and intellectual contents, highlighting the characteristics, features and features of visual popular culture, and its importance to young people in inspiring the values of identity and belonging, as well as extrapolating previous studies, and discussing results.

the current research reached the following results: 1- the importance of art education activities based on visual popular culture in inspiring young people with authentic meanings about the values of cultural identity and belonging.

2- young people's inspiration for the meanings associated with symbols, ideas, patterns, and relationships associated with the intellectual references to the works of some artists derived from the popular environment, is considered an incentive for experimentation, and the development of sense and intuition at levels of direct and indirect reception, which help in the development of their popular culture.

3- young people's approach to contemporary folk-art works inspired by the popular environment by studying and analyzing the meanings of symbols, shapes, patterns, and their aesthetic and expressive relationships, establishing the values of cultural identity and belonging with a contemporary vision.
