Online interaction during Covid-19 pandemic : advantages, challenges and practical solutions (attitudes of learners at the Arabic language institute at King Abdulaziz University

Proper interaction is a fundamental element of a well-functioning online learning environment.

this study examined saudi students of the Arabic language institute for speakers of other languages at King Abdul Aziz University's general attitude towards online interaction.

additionally, the study aimed to identify some factors that hinder proper interaction in the online environment and suggest some solutions.

this study was carried out in the first Semester of the academic year 2021/2022.

the study participants are fifty-six male students from the language institute of King Abdul-Aziz University, Saudi Arabia.

to achieve the aims of the study, the researcher developed a 36-item questionnaire.

the findings of the study showed that the study participants viewed the online learning experience in a positive manner.

moreover, the findings pinpointed some challenges that faced students during their online experience along with some solutions.

finally, the researcher suggested some recommendations.
