The aim of the research is to know the effect of employing educational songs in overcoming reading difficulties for fourth-grade students, and to achieve this goal, the researcher formulated the following null hypothesis : there is no statistically significant difference at the level (0.05) between the average scores of the experimental group students and the average scores of students the control group, and the researcher adopted an experimental design with partial control, and the sample amounted to (62) students from the fourth grade of primary school in al-Aqsa primary school for boys, affiliated to the directorate of education in the center of babil governorate, and they were randomly distributed to two groups, with a total of (32) students in the control group, and (30) students in the group the researcher rewarded between the two research groups in the variables (the chronological age of the students calculated in months and the academic achievement of the parents and the end-of-year grades in the Arabic language for the academic year 2020-2021.

the researcher formulated (64) behavioral goals for the eight topics that will be studied during the experiment.

from the reading book to be taught to the fourth grade students of primary school, he deposited a questionnaire and presented it to a selection of arbitrators in the field of methods of teaching Arabic language, psychological and educational sciences, with the aim of ensuring its validity, and prepared teaching plans for the topics to be studied and for the two research groups, and the researcher began to apply the experiment was conducted on Monday, 11/8/2021, as the researcher studied the two research groups himself during the duration of the experiment, which lasted nine weeks, and the experiment ended on Monday 10/1/2022.

the researcher tested the learning difficulty on the students of the two research groups on Sunday 16/1/2022, and the researcher used the appropriate statistical methods because of the nature of his research, including the t-test, chi-square, and pearson correlation coefficient, and after analyzing the scores statistically, the researcher found that the average scores of the experimental group students were superior to the average scores of the students of the control group, and in light of the research results, the researcher concluded : the use of educational songs has helped the students' interaction with the words of the existing texts, he recommended the necessity of encouraging students to compose these songs because of its impact on their souls, and suggested conducting a similar study on other academic stages to find out their impact on other variables such as good recitation and listening comprehension.
