This paper investigates COVID 19's impact on international cooperation and solidarity at the international and regional level with a special focus on North Africa.

both data analysis and comparative approach are used to highlight the pandemic's impact on the already existing discrepancies between different regions of the world.

the findings of the research highlight a differentiated situation in North Africa in comparison to the rest of the continent with some regional and local dynamics of cooperation and solidarity.

moreover, patterns of international cooperation and solidarity such as COVAX and the patent waiver initiative showcases the challenges to address the pandemic in a holistic approach and to translate the “no one is safe unless everyone is safe” into deeds.
