Effect of spraying fulvic acid on yield characteristics of four sesame cultivars

A field experiment was conducted in the summer season of 2021 in Sandy Loam textured soil at the second station belongs to the College of Agriculture in the University of Anbar at Albuaitha region in Ramadi city at the province of Anbar.

The goal is to investigate the impact of four concentrations of fulvic acid (FAC) with four sesame cultivars (SCUL) and their interaction on the yield of sesame types.

The split-split plot design of three replications was used in the experiment.

The main plots were occupied by the fulvic acid concentration and the sesame cultivars were included in the subplots.

There were significant differences for the cultivars in the number of capsules per plant (NCPP) number of seeds per capsule (SNPC) and yield of grains per hectare (YG) as the Sumer cultivar recorded the highest rate (232.33 capsules plant-1, 54.45 seeds capsule-1 and 2266 kg ha-1).

The significant differences were also recorded between the fulvic concentrations as the highest average of NCPP was 197.33 ml L-1 at the 10 ml per liter of FAC.

The highest average of SNPC and YG was 56.82 seeds/capsule and 2108 kg ha-1 in the fulvic concentration of 20 ml/liter.
