Studying the levels of optimism among primary school physical education teachers

The study aimed at identifying optimism levels as one of the dimensions of mental health among primary school physical education teachers, the sample consisted of 60 physical education and sports teachers across schools in the Tissemsilt province the study utilized descriptive method.

this research employed Abdel-Khalek's (1995) optimism scale, which comprises 15 items to measure optimism levels.

mean values and percentages were computed for measurement.

the study results revealed that optimism levels among the study sample were high.

therefore, the validity of the first hypothesis that optimism levels are high confirmed.

this could be the result of some strategies adopted by Algerian governments to take care of the above-mentioned group.
