Digital technology has changed the world of banking.

customers are able to interact 24 / 7 using a variety of platforms, including mobile apps.

among other things, introduced operational efficiency gains and improved customer experience.

however, it has brought risks such as cyber threats which have emerged as one of the main risks and challenges facing the banking industry.

these risks are more complex and difficult to manage, with greater financial impacts than before.

however, the risk and control functions must evolve according to the potential opened up by digital technology, in particular towards proactive risk management; they are also involved in the identification and control of new risks resulting from the digitization of processes in the various businesses of banking institutions.

الملخص FRE

La technologie numérique a changé le monde de la banque.

les clients sont en mesure d'interagir 24 / 7 en utilisant diverses plateformes, y compris les applications mobiles.

entre autres a introduit des gains d'efficacité opérationnelle et a amélioré l'expérience clients.

toutefois, elle a entraîné des risques tels que les cybermenaces qui sont apparues comme l'un des principaux risques et défis auxquels s'affronte le secteur bancaire.

ces risques sont plus complexes et difficiles à gérer, avec des impacts financiers plus importants qu'auparavant.

cependant les fonctions risque et contrôle doivent évoluer en fonction des potentialités ouvertes par le digital, notamment vers une gestion proactive des risques; elles sont aussi impliquées dans l'identification et le contrôle de nouveaux risques issus de la digitalisation des process dans les différents métiers des établissements bancaires.
