Mechanical properties of polystyrene-lightweight concrete

In this study, factors, which affect the compressive strength of polystyrene-lightweight concrete, are examined.

These factors include water / cement ratio, polystyrene / cement ratio, cement content, curing time, maturity, compaction, fire, and admixtures.

Furthermore, the relationship between the tensile strength of this type of concrete and cement content is considered.

At the end of the study, a procedure for designing polystyrene lightweight concrete mixes is outlined.
