The relationship between women's educationl background and some child rearing practices in the United Arab Emirates

The researcher aims at identiffing some features of socialization and the roles played by mothers to deepen the children's belonging to their society, with special emphasis on problems faced by children through the process of satisfying their needs.

In order to meet these objectives, the researcher conducted a field study in the various emirates, interviewing a sample totaling about 445 individuals using a questionnaire that covers the relevant factors in the research.

The tests showed the influential role of adults, specially mothers, on the child.

It showed also the importance of the interaction between children and parents.

The results showed also the possible negative effects of the mass media on children's cognitive development and identity.

The research suggests to extend this study to cover the mass media on children's cognitive development and identity.
