الملخص EN

Neuroarthropathy or Charcot joint (trophic disorder of the joint), develops most often in the lower extremity of diabetic patients.

It is associated with peripheral neuropahty.

In the upper extremity, the Charcot joint is rare and syringomyelia is the most common cause of it.

A-4S year-old man was referred to the orthopedic clink on April 1997.

His chief complaint was a three-month history of severe swelling, limitation of movement, and little pain of left shoulder.

Based on literature and up to knowledge of author, this case is probably the first case of Charcot joint of the shoulder associated with diabetes meliitus.
