الملخص EN

The scope of this paper is restricted and the discussion is far from being comprehensive.

This is due to lack of up-to-date information about Juba Environment.

This paper reflects the impact of war on Juba Environment in terms of regional and local perspectives.

The major and most significant environmental issues in Juba environment are not totally different from those of developing towns cities and countries at large.

Major environmental issues presented for discussion in this paper shall mainly include: deforestation, soil erosion, salinization and vector control, water pollution, sanitation, domestic pollution control, pesticide build-up, air pollution and solid and toxic water disposal impacts of Juba Environment.

This is based on the fact that major environmental problems of the developing countries are not necessarily of the same nature as those of developed countries, in that they are problems which often reflect the impact of poverty, which not only affects the quality of life but also life itself.
