The impact of using some reinforcement means on the achievement of second intermediate students in English language grammar

The present research aims at investigating some reinforcement means on achievement of second intermediate students in English language grammar.

The population of the study consists of second grade female students at intermediate stage of Al–Maqasud intermediate for femal.

The sample of the study was chosen randomly from among female intermediate schools in the city of Mosul.

It consisted of 63 students The researcher chose the post–test equivalent group of experimental design.

Therefore, the first group represents, the experimental group (32students) which was taught by using some reinforcement means, while the second group represents the control group (31 students) which was taught by the conventional method. After achieving co–equivalence between them, the researcher designed an achievement test which was multiple–choice items that consisted of 30 items.

Its consistency has been counted through the use of Kuder–Richardson's Formula (21), it is 81%.

After applying the experiment, the tool (test) was applied to both groups.

T–test showed the superiority of experimental group over the control group in using some reinforcement means in English language grammar.

The results indicated that the use of some reinforcement means helped to increase the achievement of second intermediate students in English language grammar.
