Biological actions of the Girgensohnia oppositi flora in albino male mice

The effect of various doses of pure crystals extract and ethyl-acetate extract of Girgensohnia oppositi on social aggression and some biological parameters of male mice was investigated .

The behavioural data of the effect of 100 mg|kg , 50 mg|kg and 25 mg|kg of pure crystals and ethyl-acetate extract showed that the injection of these doses caused specific action on aggressive behaviour of male mice (anti-aggressive effect) .

The results also showed no effect on the muscle tone , rectal temperature righting reflex and potentiation of pentobabitone sleeping time.
