New di- and triterpenic compounds from ipomoea hederaceae seeds

Phytochemical investigation of the seeds of Ipomoea hederaceae Auct.

resulted in the isolation Of 4, 4, 10, 13 ,14-pentamethyl-14- (18,22-dimethylnonyl) podocarp-1-en-3 α,11β,12 α-triol (hederaceter-penol) (1), 2, 2, 8,12- tetramethyl-n-hexadec-4,6-dien-8 α ,9 β , 11β -triol (hederacetriol) (2), 3,7,11,15- tetramethyl-n-hexadec-6β-ol-β-D-glucopyranoside (hederaterpenoside) (3) and 1'-[13, 14dimethy1-14-(18, 22- dimethylnony1) -podocarp-1-en-11 α, 12α-diol-3β-yl)-9'-[13",14"-dimethyl-14"(18",22"-dimethylnony1)- podocarp-1"-en-11" α, 12"α-dio1, 3"β-yl)-nona-2', 7’-dien-1', 9’-dioate (hederacyl triterpenoid) (5) and stigmast-5-en-3-O-β-D-glucopyranoside (4).

Their structures have been elucidated on the basis of the spectral data analyses and chemical means.
