الملخص EN

Sunbirds feeding on nectar from Erythrina abyssinicia tree were observed during six days of field work in the vicinity of Makerere University Field Study Station, Kibale National Park, Uganda.

A total of ten species of sunbirds were recorded.

The results showed no significant competitive dominance between different species of sunbirds, but revealed significant difference in the mean time spent by birds foraging between the morning, midday and afternoon.

The result also revealed no competition for nectar on Erythrina tree.

The study predicts that there existed other alternative, more beneficial sources of energy on which sunbirds depended.
