This study was conducted to assess the sealing ability of three different obscuration techniques over apically separated rotary nickel titanium files.

Thirty six mandibular premolars were prepared using prosper files and subjected to separation of F3 tip at the apical level.

Canals were obdurate using continuous wave obscuration, ultrasonically thermo plasticized compaction and cold lateral condensation.

Roots were placed in 2 % methylene blue dye for 48 hours, longitudinally split and examined for linear dye penetration under stereomicroscope.

Results revealed that leakage in teeth obdurate with continuous wave technique was significantly less than the other two techniques.
