الملخص EN

A wireless ad hoc network is a collection of autonomous nodes or terminals which communicate with each other by forming a multi-hop radio network and maintaining connectivity in a decentralized manner.

The principle behind ad hoc networking is multi-hop relaying, which means that the messages are transmitted by the other nodes if the target node is not directly reachable.

The absence of any central coordinator and base station makes it difficult to manage the network.

The network topology in an ad-hoc wireless network is highly dynamic due to the mobility of nodes.

They may move in and out of the range of each other.

The paper merged two techniques, the clustering and the threshold key management techniques in order to make distributed authentication architecture react with the frequent changing topology of the network.

In addition, it enhances the process of assigning the node's public key.

In the proposed architecture, the overall network is divided into clusters with one cluster head (CH) assigned to each cluster.

The CHs are connected with virtual networks and share the private key of the Central Authority (CA) using Lagrange interpolation, So, there is no way to sign the public key of any node until K shares out of the total number of CHs are collected together.

Experimental results show that the proposed architecture reaches to almost 95.5% of all nodes, within an ad hoc network that are able to communicate securely, nine times (9 times) faster than other archictures to attain the same results.

Moreover, the solution is fully decentralized to operate in a large-scale mobile network.
