Study of the electrical properties of cds films prepared by screen printing technique

Two sets of CdS films were prepared, doped and undoped films, by screen printing technique and investigated by Kiethley Picoammeter and Voltage Source.

When we measured the photoconductivity of these films we have found that photosensitivity (Iphoto / Idark) for the undoped and doped films are( 2x103)and( 6x103) respectively.

The resistivity of the undoped CdS films also Calculated, its value was (1011ohm.cm), and that is the standard value given to resistivity of the CdS compound.

The results also showed that increase in the photoconductivity; consequently a decrease in the resistivity by increase in temperature and 0.5% doping of CuCl2.

The values of activation energies were calculated and their values were (0.778eV) for doped CdS samples and (0.449eV) for undoped.
