Two hybrid (20μ in size) reinforcement materials, 5 wt %.

(TiB2+Al2O3) and 5wt % (TiB2+Al2O3 +3wt %Al) were used in fabrication of A319 Al alloy composite using stir casting method.

Two mathematical models have been established using Experimental Design Method to illustrate the effect of load and time on wear and friction behavior of the investigated alloys.

Scanning electron microscope (SEM) has been used to examine the worn surface.

The results show that wear resistance of the composite material is higher than the matrix.

Furthermore, highest wear resistance were found for the A319 reinforced with the 5wt % (TiB2+Al2O3 +3wt %Al).

On the other hand, the friction coefficient was found to be significantly increased with increasing both of load and time during wear test.
