سعت هذه الدراسة إلى استقصاء أثر استخدام الحاسوب في تعليم الإنشاء في اللغة الإنجليزية على الأداء الكتابي لطلبة الصف العاشر الأساسي في إحدى مدراس عمان الخاصة.
و من أجل تحقيق هذا الهدف، حاولت الدراسة الإجابة عن الأسئلة الثلاثة التالية : 1- هل يوجد فروقات ذات دلالة إحصائية عند مستوى الدلالة (a-0.05) في التعبير الكتابي بين أداء الطلاب الذين تم تدريبهم على الكتابة من خلال الحاسوب و أداء الطلاب الذين تعلموا الكتابة بالطريقة التقليدية؟ 2- هل توجد فروقات ذات دلالة إحصائية عند مستوى الدلالة (a-0.05) في التعبير الكتابي من حيث المستوى اللغوي (linguistic level) بين أداء الطلاب الذين تعلموا الكتابة باستخدام الحاسوب و بين أداء الطلاب الذين تعلموا الكتابة بالطريقة التقليدية؟ 3- هل توجد فروقات ذات دلالة إحصائية عند مستوى الدلالة (a-0.05) في التعبير الكتابي من حيث المستوى البلاغي (rhetoricall level) بين أداء الطلاب الذين تعلموا الكتابة من خلال الحاسوب و أداء أولئك الطلاب الذين تعلموا الكتابة بالطريقة التقليدية؟ تكونت عينة الدراسة من سبعة و ثلاثين طالبا تم توزيعهم في شعبتين مختلفتين.
بينما كانت المجموعة الضابطة التي تم تدريسها بالطريقة التقليدية تتكون من سبعة عشر طالبا، تكونت المجموعة التجريبية التي تم تدريسها باستخدام الحاسوب من عشرين طالبا، قام الباحثان بإجراء اختبار قبلي للتعرف إلى مستوى أداء الطلاب في التعبير الكتابي لكلا المجموعتين، و في نهاية الفصل الدراسي، تم استخدام الاختبار نفسه كاختبار بعدي.
استخدم الباحثان قائمة محددة لتقييم أداء الطلبة في التعبير الكتابي.
تكونت القائمة من مستوين : المستوى اللغوي و المستوى البلاغي للتعبير الكتابي, و في نهاية التجربة، تم تحليل نتائج الاختبارات من خلال تحليل التباين المشترك (ANCOVA).
و قد أظهرت نتائج الدراسة أن الحاسوب يعد أداة تعليمية ذات تأثير إيجابي على مستوى أداء الطلاب في الإنشاء الكتابي على المستويين اللغوي و البلاغي.
الملخص EN
The present study aims to investigate the effect of using computers in the teaching of second language composition on the writing performance of tenth grade students, through answering the following questions : 1.
Are there any statistically significant differences in the writing performance of tenth grade students that can be attributed to the teaching method (traditional or computer-oriented?). 2.
Are there any statistically significant differences in the writing performance of tenth grade students at? the local (linguistic) level that can be attributed to the teaching method (traditional or computer-oriented?). 3.
Are there any statistically significant differences in the writing performance of tenth grade students at the global (rhetorical) level that can be attributed to the teaching method (traditional or computer-oriented?). The sample of the study consisted of 37 10th grade students from Rawdet Al-Ma'aref Private School, distributed in two sections representing the control and experimental groups. The data were collected through a writing performance test given to the participants before and after the experiment.
A scale of composition evaluation was also used in evaluating students' written texts. An analysis of covariance (ANCOVA) was used.
The findings of the study indicated that using the computer as a writing tool seemed to have a significant effect on student writing performance both at the linguistic and rhetorical levels.
