Soil phosphorus, magnesium and calcium analyses at Tell Ya'amoun in Northern Jordan

Phosphorus, calcium and magnesium were analyzed from the soil of a Middle Bronze Age structure at Tell Ya'amoun in Jordan using Inductively Coupled Plasma technique (ICP) to reconstruct the past occupants activity pattern.

The results were very good and indicated animal husbandry during the occupation period.

An obvious change in activity pattern is noticed during the successive period of the Iron Age.

Changing environmental conditions probably triggered this change in activity pattern.
