The purpose of the present study was to determine if Jordanian companies have a favorable involvement in Sports sponsorship, and to reveal the attitudes and opinions of Jordanian decision makers towards this tool.

The following aspects were explored throughout the study : 1.

The role of Sport Sponsorship in the company's marketing communication (promotion) mix 2.

Companies' most likely methods of involvement in Sport Sponsorship.

3.

Top managers' attitudes and opinions towards Sport Sponsorship.

4.

Factors influencing the decision of getting involved in Sport Sponsorship.

The importance of this study is derived from the fact that there is no single piece of research that has been done in this subject on the Jordanian corporations, though this study aims to add to the marketing literature additional results in the area of sports marketing and marketing communications.

Sports marketing companies and / or advertising agencies may find the findings of this research useful in deriving specific indications for current attitudes of Jordanian companies toward sponsoring sports.

And it would be of interest to sports federations, clubs, teams, individual athletes, and researchers.
