الملخص الإنجليزي
The current study investigated the efficiency of learning cycle strategy on EFL 10th grade students` writing skill in Southern Al-Mazar Educational Directorate during the second semester 2010/2011, and it also explored if there were any statistical significant differences in their achievement on writing skills attributed to gender .
The sample of the study included 86 10th grade students ; (49 males and 37 females)who were purposefully selected from two schools in Al- Mazar Directorate of Education.
The subjects of the study were assigned into two groups, the experimental group which consisted of 43 male and female students who were taught using the learning cycle strategy, and the control group which also consisted of 43 male and female students who were taught using the conventional methods.
R esults regarding the teaching method indicated that there were statistical significant differences at (? =0,05) between the control and the experimental groups in favor of the experimental group.
The results also showed that there were no statistical significant differences between male and female 10th graders that are attributed to gender.
The study concluded with a group of recommendation, among them that there should be an emphasis on the learning cycle strategy and other new strategies as they are beneficial and play an efficient role in students achievement in English language.
