الملخص الإنجليزي

The study aimed to analyze work injuries and their influences in productivity and cost' the study population was Jordan Phosphate Mines Company, in which they are divided according to mines locations as following : abide mine, hassa mine, echidna mine and industrial complex.

Data of occupational injuries was collected from employee's affairs offices in each mine, from January 1 ; 2000 to December 31 ; 2006.1n relation to the Company the study shows that there was a strong inverse relationship between productivity and number of injuries.

Approximately 1,210,000 Jordanian Dinar, the total cost of lost work days, as a result of occupational injuries and fatalities in Jordan Phosphate Mines Company, within study period.

Employees with educational level less than tawjihi were more likely to injure.

It is recommended that the policy makers, employers and other governmental authorities should purse effective monitoring and training of occupational health programs that will reduce the level of workers exposure to industrial health hazard.
