الملخص الإنجليزي

The research in this thesis presents a study of controller based on Artificial Intelligent (AI) to improve the control of Automatic Voltage Regulator (AVR) during the operation condition of non linear Synchronous Generator (SG) connected to different loads.

Loads are constructed from resistive, inductive and capacitive load.

The simulated system is implemented using Single Machine Infinite Bus (SMIB).

Three types of AI controllers are designed to improve the performance of the AVR to control the terminal voltage of non linear SG.

They are Nonlinear Auto-Regressive Moving Average (NARMA-L2) controller, fuzzy Proportional Integral Differential (PID) controller and neurofuzzy controller.

A detailed analysis for the response of three above mentioned controllers, along with a conventional PID controller, and a comparison between them are presented.

The response of the terminal voltage was the key quantity considered in this work.

The simulink package of the MATLAB Version 9b was used to implement the proposed work.

The simulation results are showed the superiority of the neurofuzzy controller over the other types of controllers.
