The last ten years witnessed a great evolution on the field of computer science, communication and data transmission.

This evolution draw the attention of specialists to design a modern cryptosystem for data encryption based on neural networks methodologies that are very hard, if not impossible, to be broken this work employs two cryptography schemes.

First is to design and implement a stream cipher technique using neural networks.

The neural networks techniques are used to design PN sequence generator.

Computer simulation tests have been carried out to check the randomness of the generator through statistical tests.

These tests have shown that the proposed PN sequence generator passes all the recommended tests.

Second Glyptography scheme utilizes the neural networks in block cipher algorithms.

Taking into consideration different plaintexts block size.

The application of the neural network in cryptography provides fast and high security system in stream and block ciphering in comparison with traditional methods Moreover, a rule based expert system has been built using GUI.

The philosophy behind this expert system is to give the priority to the security level of the submitted data in selecting the proper block cipher algorithm.

C++ was used for designing the programs of neural network for the cryptography and Visual C++ was used to design the user interface to facilitate the use of the proposed system.
