This project presents structural design and an analysis of an office building using the computer STAAD-III program, Design results obtained from the computer are compared with those obtained manually for selected beams, columns and slabs.

The design procedure carried out by STAAD-III program is divided into two stages.

The first stage is the design of all structural elements (beams, columns, slabs and staircases), while the second stage includes the design of the slab by using STAAD intends menu.

It can be noted that the design results which have been obtained from the computer program are very close to the manual results.
