Production shop-floor has been recognized as a distinct area in the field of CIM for that it is in a mass need for modern CAE to solve the problems that come from the collection of special activity data of shop-floor in an accurate and instantaneous form Their problem have a big effect on increase production cost that due to delays in the shop-floor and die quality of product.

The detect in collecting this data in a correct form effect on the higher management in the speed off gee [the information available for these shop-floor and then take the correct decision that suitable to meet competitive and mark need For that reasons the need for use automated data collection methods for monitoring the shop floor has been a raised.

First an over view of control methods of shop floor and factories.

Then techniques and scientific and so to the computer aided data collection and what is manufacturing data must be available for these techniques and review of information system methods to be used later on.

Also the methods data base organization and system analysis and deism was mentioned so after that the company that the research will be in it has been studied and then problems in data collection system diagnosis so as to start studying, analysis new automates data collection system that is [MSC-ADCS].

Bv the use of new special techniques work under the CIM environment that it IDEF and ICOM which considered a successful application in CTM After system analysis a prototype frame work for automated data collection system by the use of relational data base technology.
