Testing in the functional level is considered one of the most important methods of testing complex systems, it depends on the functions which are intended to be fulfilled through the work of the systems under test.

In this thesis, a functional test system has been designed and implemented.

This system is intended to lest the units of the guidance and control system in a guided miss lie.

The following points are taken into account in order to achieve this aim : The possible faults are defined and functional fault models are derived for the different units of the missile.

- Efficient functional tests are generated to test these units in order to detect the defined faults.

- An automatic test system is designed and implemented.

The tester is built around a persona! computer and its intelligent interface.

The intelligent interface is based on an INTEL-SO 85 microprocessor.

-Analysis of the test efficiency is in terms of testing time and fault coverage.
