الملخص الإنجليزي

Most important organizational factors have been identified from previous literature and categorized into four categories; organizational culture, technology, learning, management support, while the psychological factors in this study depended on analyzing most famous attitude behavior theories and after a critical review of these theories, the theory of self regulation has been modified to accommodate some variables (action intentions and previous behavior) to overcome the shortcomings of the theories proposed by literature.

Depending on a sample of 140 employees who are working in various information technology organizations in Jordan, and using the survey method, this research managed to propose a model for knowledge sharing behavior, the model was tested using SEM path analysis in order to indentify the direct and indirect effects of the variables in the model, it has been found that management support, loss of power, emphasis on knowledge sharing, technology, social norms, attitude towards the process, desire to share knowledge, goal intentions, action intentions, and habitual (previous) behavior are the main and most important factors among other factors to influence employee’s knowledge sharing in organizations, various theoretical and practical implications were suggested along with directions for future research.

This research purpose was to analyze the determinants of knowledge sharing in organizations.

Taking into consideration the importance of knowledge in today’s environment, this research analyzed the existing literature on knowledge sharing and found out that the studies on determinants on knowledge sharing stem from two perspectives.

The first perspective is organizational behavior one, while the other is stemming from the behavioral studies based on attitude-behavior models.

This research has combined both perspectives in order to better understand the interaction between organizational factors and psychological factors affecting knowledge sharing behavior.
