الملخص الإنجليزي

Halen 1211 and 1301 are fully halogenated hydrocarbons that exhibit exceptional firefighting effectiveness.

Halos are ozone depleting substances with 6 % responsibility of the ozone layer depletion.

Accordingly, United Nations has adopted a strategy to phase out and phase down all ozone depleted substances, including halos, through Montreal Protocol.

Jordan has adopted halo management program to manage all halos activities in Jordan and to build halos strategic reserves and make it available for the country's essential uses, and controlling any release to the atmosphere.

However, this study has presented the overall halos inventory in the world according to Halos Technical Options Committee model.

Moreover, the actual inventory data of halos in Jordan have been conducted in this study.

Halos management programs have been presented in this study, the Australian program is presented as one of the developed countries and the Indians program as one of the developing countries.

This is in order to benchmark with the Jordanian halos bank management system ; consequently, the challenges and obstacles in the halo bank management system in Jordan have been identified, highlighted, and linked to the aforementioned programs.

Also, in this research study, three scenarios for Jordan halos bank have been developed and discussed to achieve the goal of meeting Jordan halos demand for essential uses up to 2030.

The "optimistic scenario" is found to be the sustainable option for halos bank management in Jordan.

The research recommends enforcement of ozone depleting substances regulations by Jordan Ministry of Environment to meet halos demand for the essential uses, and adopting successful steps for ozone depleting substance controlling program, to comply with Montreal Protocol by Jordan's' government in the future, to insure sustainability and comply with the international agreements.
