Some insights of local and global temperature dynamics

The principal aim of this paper is to study and compare some of the statistical characteristics of local temperature dynamics, taking mega-city Karachi (24.51 N, 67.01 E) as a case study, with global temperature fluctuations.

Therefore, temperature fluctuations are examined graphically for distributive properties and correlations.

It seems that the statistical nature of local and global temperature fluctuations are similar and can be expressed by Markov processes.

As correlations between the two are found to be statistically significant and high, a Bayesian regression is also established between local and global annual temperature fluctuations.
