الملخص الإنجليزي

The Internet and on-line businesses are growing exponentially.

Due to this explosive growth, electronic commerce on the Internet uses various electronic payment mechanisms that can cater for much diversity of applications and the customers' needs. The electronic payment systems is the infrastructure which comprised of institutions, instruments, financial applications, rules, procedures and standards, established to affect the transfer of monetary value between all the parties, and these systems face a lot of challenges and problems which are addressed in the study. The study addresses also the technical issues of electronic payment systems such as : e-payment infrastructure, e-payment types, e-payment processes and e-payment threats and attacks. The study concluded the possibility of partially solving these problems and making some improvements on the electronic payment systems that enhance the user's eeds and expectations.

Therefore, improving the e-payment methodology will enhance the e-commerce applications.
