الملخص الإنجليزي

The laparoscopic and open surgery techniques of partial hepatectomy were used in this study to select the best technique in goats. Eight healthy adult cross breed goats of both sexes, aged 9 months to 1year, were used.

They were divided randomly into two groups.

The goats in group A underwent laparoscopic partial hepatoctomy.

While animals in group B underwent conventional surgery.

Operations were performed under general anesthesia by using thiopental sodium at a dose of 15mg / kg B.

W intravenously and 5 % concentration.

The laparoscopic partial hepatoctomy and Convential surgery was preformed successfully in all goat experimental animals.

No goat died during or after the operation till the end of observation.

The Pneumoperitoneum was preformed in all goats undergoing laparoscopic surgery for partial hepatoctomy, with minimal complications ,and provide large space of observation of internal abdominal cavity, this make that operation more easy .The insufflation with Co2 was used successfully at the pressure of 8-10 mm / Hg and 3.5 L / min.

The physiological parameters included rectal temperature, respiratory rate, and pulse rate, these parameters were observed before the operation and daily measured for 3 days after operation, there was no significant.

The biochemical measure which incloud as Asparate amino transferase (AST) Alanine amino transferase (ALT), Lactate dehydrogenas (LDH).The result of AST showed significant different (p < 0.05) in mean values among different periods.

No significant changes are seen in other biochemical parameters including (ALT, LDH) in all times between tow groups except the temporary increase immediately after operation (2 hours) followed by return to the normal level.

Biochemical tests were measured in 0(time) and 2 hour, 1, 2 and 3 days postoperativey. The incidence of adhesion occurred in this study was low in comparison with the rate of occurrence in the Convential surgery, show adhesion involving the liver were found with adjacent organ.

The histopathological study of liver in the laprascopic and open hepatectomy showed that operation could be created successfully with tow techniques although the superior of group (A) through reduced the necrosis area, hemorrhage and early regeneration.

and showed presence of difference picture was clear at the seventh day at the fifteen day post operation and between group A and B. From the result of this study, it was concluded that the laparoscopic partial hepatectomy was successfully and easily done in goat and it is better than open surgery.
