Quintic spline Methods with three collocation points for solving third-order boundary-value problems

We present spline collocation methods based on quintic polynomial splines to solve two types of third-order boundary value problems (BVPs).

The first type is general linear third-order BVPs and the second type is a system of third-order BVPs associated with obstacle, unilateral and contact problems.

By giving five numerical examples and comparing with the other spline methods the efficiency of the methods will be shown.
