Computing wiener index of cyclic pentagon-square chains

Wiener index is one of the most important topological indices defined in chemistry and it is a graphical invariant which has found many applications in chemistry [11].

In this paper, the Wiener index formulas for cyclic pentagon-square chains are obtained by recurrence relations, also we determined the upper bound of the average distance for such chains.
