Epidemiological study of ovine fasciolasis in the south of Iraq

Epidemological study was applied on live slaughtered animals under south of Iraq environmental conditions during period between feabruary to July 2009 , infection rate was 72 (33.96 %) , 230 (36.22 %) respectively in live and slaughtered animals, as highest total infection rate was 302 (35.65%) compered with other studies .

It was noticed that the F.

gigantica was the most frequent encountered rate 58 % ,68.59 % in live and slaughtered animals respectively follow by F.

hepatica 22% ,18.52% in live and slaughtered animals .

The disease epidemiological pattern was the most cases during May 49.63 % while the lowest of cases happened in April 20 %
