الخلفية : هناك قلة إقبال على استخدام خدمات المشورة المقدمة في الجمعية من المجتمع البحريني مما استدعى البحث عن أسباب هذه المشكلة.

الهدف : تحليل أسباب قلة استخدام خدمات مركز المشورة للصحة الإنجابية الموجود في الجمعية. الطريقة : تم إعداد أسئلة البحث و جرى توزيعها على أفراد المجتمع و ذلك خلال أنشطة التثقيف الصحي التي نفذتها الجمعية في المجتمع. النتائج : لقد أظهرت النتائج أن %73 من العينة التي أجابت على الأسئلة لا يعلمون شيئا عن الجمعية و لا يعلمون أين موقعها، و لكن النسبة المتبقية من العينة ممن سمعوا عن الجمعية فإن مصدر تلك المعلومات كان المطويات و المنشورات التي تصدرها الجمعية. الاستنتاج : على الجمعية زيادة أنشطة التسويق للتعريف بالجمعية و ذلك لرفع مستوى معرفة و وعي المجتمع بالجمعية و رسالتها كما يجب عليها توسيع رقعة توزيع مطوياتها لتغطي جميع مناطق المملكة.

الملخص EN

identify and analyze the major reasons for the low utilization of the reproductive health counseling services.

Method : A questionnaire was developed by the investigators and distributed during health education sessions conducted by BRHA members.

Results : Seventy-three percent (73 %) of the sample had not heard about the Association nor knew about its location, the remainder had heard about the Association from brochures and leaflets.

Conclusion : The Association needs to consider new strategies and approaches to raise public awareness about its mission in addition to extending the distribution of its brochures and leaflets to all areas in the country.
