Clinical association of left bundle branch block aretrospective study of 275 cases

Medical records of (275) Patients with Known Ieft bundle branch block (LBBB) were analyzed for their Clinical associations including various cardiac and non-cardiac diseases, ECG analysis of the mean frontal plane QRS axis, and echocardiographic analysis of left and right ventricular function and size, left and right a trial size, and aortic and mitral valves.

Coronary artery disease and Hypertension were the commonest clinical diseases found occurring in (166) of (275) patients (62.4%).

Aortic and mitral valves diseases were found in (55) patients (20%).

Cardiomyopathy was found in (33) patients (12%).

Seventeen patients (6%) had no identifiable cardiac disease.

Left axis deviation (LAD) was present in (35%) and the majority of these (96%) had associated cardiac disorders .

Of the (17) patients without an identifiable cardiac disease , 16 (93%) had normal QRS axis .

About (93%) of the patients with LBBB had echocardiographic evidence of heart diseases .
