Lastly, it is associated with a host of concepts, norms, criminality standards and conventional penalties.

Irrespective of any terminology or nomenclature, the various concepts associated with “organized crime” point to a long list of crimes and deviant behaviours.

Organized crime refers to activities that run counter to the integrity of law.

In our conviction, such activities are carried by professional offensive-minded perpetrators in an organized form and on constant basis.

It deserves to be noted, however, that the organized crime appeared as one of the formidable problems of the contemporary world.

It coincided with the advent of the twentieth century.

In particular, its appearance in the most advanced societies, Europe and the United States of America, was decisive.

It exercised profound impact of adverse nature.

It tended to deteriorate the situation in gradual process.

It embraced other crimes, i.e, illicit trade of drugs; drugs abuse and drugs addiction; prostitutions, illegal traffic of weapons; humans smuggling; financial crimes, like money laundering and frauds, and terrorism, etc.
