A news story from a tagmemic perspective

This paper provides a way to scrutinize news stories that should be used as a material to teach English to students in the College of Mass Communication.

The paper answers two questions.

The first question is to show whether it is possible to examine a news story as a tagmeme or not and the second one is to illustrate how this kind of analysis would be of any help to the people teaching and learning English in the College of Mass Communication and in EFL composition classes in general.
