الملخص الإنجليزي
A case study of some problems in writing among the third year students of English at Al-Fateh University in Tripoli. This study attempts to analyze the ability of writing of the students majoring in English at Al-Fateh University with emphasis on spelling and grammatical errors.
Some of these problems like word order, verbs, prepositions, pronouns, articles, and lexical choice etc, are discussed in this study. A triangulation method is used to collect the data of this case study by means of a student’s questionnaire, a teacher’s questionnaire, and home assignments.
As a result of this study, some implications suggested for second language writing pedagogy, as well as course design. Some recommendations are given to improve the student’s writing.
