الملخص الإنجليزي
This research deals mainly with the comparison between singular and plural in both language Arabic and English.
It falls into five chapters.
The first chapter briefly explains the research plan which is needed in writing the following chapters.
Chapter two is set up to introduce the pertinent literature and related studies which is considered as the base that the researcher depends on.
The third chapter applies the rules of plural in English language.
Chapter four gives an exposition to the rules of singular and plural in Arabic language.
Finally, comes chapter five which discusses the main points by applying a comparative study to the subject.
Through out the study, the researcher reaches the following points.
There are some similarities in the form of singular in both languages.
Both languages have some similar rules in forming plural.
Both languages have regular and irregular rules to form plural.
It is clear to recognize that Arabic language has more tools and language devices to deal not only with nouns as singular and plural but also with all others parts of speech.
