الملخص الإنجليزي
This study was conducted to determine the moisture content in some pharmaceutical preparations by using four methods : Karl Fischer, loss on drying, Moisture balance and infrared dryer.
It was found that the Karl Fisher is the best method according to the results obtained.
The study was done on the starch binding agent) Aspirin tablets, potassium citrate, peppermint oil, senna leaves and peppermint leaves.
The results obtained from the Starch, Aspirin tablets and Potassium citrate were compared to determine the best method statistically.
In addition, the chemical and physical properties were also used.
It was found that Karl Fischer was the best method for moisture content determination 11.66 % compared with loss on drying(12.8 %), moisture balance(8.5 %) and Infrared dryer (7.5 %) methods
