The objective of this thesis is to study, analysis, plan and design software program to calculate and simulate the performance of the code division multiple access signal transmission through mobile satellite channel using Quadrature Amplitude Modulation and Walsh Hadmard code. The performance of CDMA system is performed using an analytical model with both Gaussian process (GA) and improved Guassian approximation (IGA).

The performance of the system consider the effect of traveling wave tube(TWTA) on board satellite, uplink and down link additive white Guassian noise (AWGN), multiple access interference, and mobile fading channels in suburban, open and urban areas.

System performance in terms of the error probability was calculated and simulated using Borland Delphi and WINIQSIM software program. From the obtained results, a comparison between analytical method using improved Gaussian approximated (IGA) and Gaussian process models is done under different mobile propagation channels.

This is done at different parameters of input back-off, A WGN, code length (N), and number of users (M). The results obtained from analytical model show that increasing the input back-off reduces the value of bit error rate up to a certain limit.

Any further increase in back -off results in a fixed value of bit error rate if the linear region of the characteristic of TWT A is reached As a result, measuring the code length reduces the value of bit error up to a certain limit.

Also, increasing the number of users increases the value of bit error to a certain limit depending on the SNR. The results of both analytical and simulation methods, in terms of the error probability are in a good agreement.
