Dental crowding in relation to maxillary morphology in skeletal class I Iraqi sample aged 17-24 years : three-dimensional study

This study was conducted to evaluate the morphological features of the maxilla and to study the effect of severe dental crowding on the maxillary morphology using lateral and frontal cephalometric radiographs for 80 Iraqi adults with skeletal class I occlusion and ranged between 17-24 years.

Cephalometric radiographs of 40 subjects (20 males and 20 females) with intact and normal alignment of the upper teeth were compared with those of other 40 subjects (20 males and 20 females) with severe crowding of the upper teeth (tooth size-arch length discrepancy of >4 mm).
